Wannabe thief stabs Long Island cop, then tries to hide under car: police

Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to Gibbs Road near Coolidge Avenue in Amity Harbor, where a 911 caller reported men trying to steal from vehicles, according to Suffolk County Police.
