Seven people died when a passenger train derailed in Russia’s Bryansk region, close to Ukraine, after a bridge collapsed as a result of an explosion. A second bridge also reportedly collapsed in the Kursk region.

The president announced last December during the presidential transition that he had chosen Jared Isaacman to be the space agency’s next administrator. Isaacman has been a close collaborator with Musk ever since he bought his first chartered flight on Musk’s SpaceX in 2021.
